The latest addition to my handbag collection is the Lark Flap Messenger bag by 3.1 Phillip Lim in black leather. It’s a beautiful basic with ample room to fit all your necessities. I really love the 2 handle combo (one for crossbody, one for a standard/upright wear) that diversifies the carrying experience. It’s unfortunately sold out most places (mine was purchased from SSENSE) but luckily the 3.1 Phillip Lim bag collection has many other beautiful, comparable options.

It’s inevitable, isn’t it? The terror that hits you at your core just days after Christmas. And when it manifests itself into words, it’s always the same.
‘Oh shit, what will I wear for New Years?’
This Fear came raining down on me at 11am yesterday. Naturally I went into a mania and did the thing that comes most naturally- shop. Given the inclement weather, I decided to go to Macy’s and seek refuge within the 7 odd floors of retail wonder. I really wanted something a little warmer read: sleeves or pants, to avoid freezing to death (As a side note, I’ll take fact that I’m valuing warmth over looking like tramp as a sign that I’m growing up). I knew just where to go, floor 3, and beelined for my spirit animals collection (Rachel Roy). What was then spotted, tried on and purchased was an amazing jumpsuit colored just like an eggplant. What’s more is that it was also 40% off— beautiful. I’ll accessorize with some TBD gold jewels and shoes. Perhaps my new Dannijo bracelet? This part of the outfit puzzle has yet to be solved.
One more thing since we are hot and heavy in jumpsuit land. I also fell in love with a hot red jumpsuit with a zippered front and decided that it would go home with me as well. It was too bright and punchy to leave on the racks.
raise your hand if you’ve made a seriously great purchase and you just have to share the deal you just scored. this is how i feel often– probably because i have a shopping problem. the usual recipient of my you-gotta-see-what-i-just-bought show & tell is my sister. though i love her purchase-approval i wanted to document & share the rush of scoring the deal and whatever else seems appropriate so i thought why not make a blog.
voila! you have closet with a view.
